Christi Hughart, D.O., F.A.C.O.S.

Tate Dr. Christi Hughart completed her bachelor of science degree in Exercise Physiology at West Virginia University where she was number one in her class. She earned her medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. There she graduated in the top ten of her class. She then completed three years of general surgery training at Doctors Hospital/ Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Her urology training was then completed through Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, Detroit Campus in 2011.
She has published research in both vascular and urological surgery and was selected to present her work at the American Urological Association Annual Meeting. Dr. Hughart performs general urologic procedures with a special interest in endourology including stone disease and transurethral prostate and bladder procedures. Many other services are offered. She became a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons early in her career due to establishing the urology department at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in 2011.
Dr. Hughart’s husband, Christian de Guzman, RN, BSN, is the office manager of her practice. In their time off, the couple enjoys spending time with their daughter, hobby farming, antiquing, and target shooting. English, Tagalog, and Spanish are spoken in the practice.
